What's New

The waiter app now opens an account with that account's own password only. A fixed support password that used to sign in as any user has been removed.

The app's access token is issued after every check (account, waiter/captain role, single-device rule) — a refused sign-in leaves nothing behind — and it is scoped to the waiter app and your restaurant instead of opening every app. Waiters sign in again once to pick up the new token; nothing else changes on the floor.

Turning on order reviews used to turn it on at every branch of the business at once, with no way to try it at one location: the review code, the stamp and the feedback message all went out everywhere.

⚙️ Now: The business switch makes order reviews available • Each branch ticks it under Branch settings → Modules to run it • Only the modules the business is licensed for can be ticked • A branch that has not opted in prints no review code and sends no feedback message; codes already printed stay valid

🛠️ Modules that looked switched off: At some branches, modules such as inventory, kitchen display, accounting and reports could show as off for the whole login, so a review code would not appear on the bill preview • They now show correctly, and users already logged in recover without signing out

Result: Reviews run where you choose, and the other modules stay on where you switched them on.

On the compact skin the cart buttons were forced to a fixed size and the quantity was drawn in red, so the cart looked cramped beside the rest of the till.

🛒 Now: The plus, minus and quantity sit at the same size as the theme's small inputs • The compact skin only sets the colours, borders and corners • The quantity reads in the normal text colour

🎨 Skin picker: Choosing a POS skin under Options → POS Skin now reads its save answer correctly, so a change is confirmed the way it should be

Result: The compact till looks the way its theme intends, with nothing oversized.

The POS New Order screen can now be shown at twice the density, so more items fit on one screen. Nothing changes until someone picks it.

🧩 The compact screen: The category list shows how many items each row holds, and a click shows them • Item cards with the price on the photo; an Images switch turns them into text tiles, about 60 items on one screen instead of 24 • Cart lines about 40 px high, with addons under the line and quiet buttons for Remarks, Draft, Discount and Clear • The cart keeps its classic width so its boxes stay easy to use

🛠️ Also: The POS re-fits itself when the window is resized, in either skin, without waiting for the next item

Result: Pick the layout that suits the staff; nothing changes until you do.

An order that went in at the wrong price stayed wrong, because nothing repriced it from the menu once it was saved.

🔁 Now, when editing an order: An admin sees Re-price from menu above the cart • Every line is priced again from the branch's live menu and tax setup, and saved to the order at once • The confirmation lists each line, was and now, with the new subtotal; a line the menu no longer has keeps its price and is listed

Result: One click brings an order's prices in line with the menu.

A Call Centre operator could pick the order's branch in the header, but the cart kept the prices and VAT of the operator's own branch.

🛒 Now: Picking a branch re-prices every line for that branch's tax setup, and the totals follow at once • Removing a line shows that branch's VAT rows • An item the chosen branch does not sell is flagged red with "Not sold at that branch" • The order is refused at placement, naming each line that the branch does not sell

Result: The cart always shows the price the order will be sold at.

A bill could be recalculated with the tax setup of the operator's own screen rather than the branch the order came from. An online order of Rs 3,530 with no tax came out at Rs 3,043.

🧾 Now: Tax mode, tax number and the update-subtotal switch come from the order's branch, never the operator's session • A payment method with 0% GST is a real rate, not a missing one • A third-party order that already carries its rate keeps it

Result: The bill matches what the customer was charged, whichever branch the operator is logged in at.

The header showed an initial where the business logo should be, and the Food cost card and Items screen took close to a minute to open.

🖼️ Now: The logo uploaded under Settings shows in the owner app header • The Food cost card reads stored figures for each closed day, and today's figure is fetched on its own • Items keeps its 28-day averages for the day, so the screen opens without scanning a month of sales

Result: The owner app opens in seconds, with your logo on top.

Owners wanted to see how the last few weekends went, and how one day stacked up, without opening each report.

📅 Weekends: The last four completed weekends, Friday to Sunday, newest first, with each weekend's total and change • The best and weakest day, the busiest hour and each branch's share • A weekend in progress shown apart, against the average of the same days

📊 KPI board: One business day as big figures: sales, orders, guests, per order, per guest, channel mix, discounts, refunds, taxes • Each figure beside the same weekday a week earlier • Choose by the clock to read a past day only up to the hour it is now

🛠️ Also: A report across many branches fills in on the next pull, and a partly filled weekend is rechecked after 20 seconds

Result: The weekend and the day are both on one screen, in figures you can read at a glance.

A bill could print with no tax line at all when its payment method was not allowed for that order type. The customer got a raw subtotal, while the reprint showed the tax.

🚫 Now: A bill is refused when its payment method does not cover the order type, and the cashier is told which method to use • The print falls back to the first allowed method, so an automatic rider print does not vanish • Payment methods show the order types they cover under their settings

Result: Every printed bill carries the tax it should.

A card payment method with no bank selected sent its collections into the cashier's till, so the till looked short and the bank looked empty. About 1,200 payments, Rs 3.87M, had gone that way at one branch.

🏦 Now: Each card method must have its bank selected under its payment method settings • Card money that was swept out of a till at close moves to its bank, with a matching entry for each day • Cash in hand counts only the cash, on the day it was taken

Result: Card money sits in the bank, and cash in hand counts only cash.

Submitting a bulk due collection twice collected every invoice a second time. Over two days, 2,482 orders were collected more than once, Rs 5.68M booked twice.

🛡️ Now: A customer's bulk collection runs one at a time; a second submission is refused, not run again • The collect button ignores a second click while the first is still going • An order that is already paid cannot be collected again

🧹 Duplicates already booked: Removed by a checked repair that touches only the surplus copies, with a backup of every row first

Result: A due is collected once, however many times the button is pressed.
