Printing, drafts and the completed-orders view were all or nothing for the Order Taker app, so one waiter could not be stopped without stopping everyone.

👤 Now: Each waiter or captain can be allowed or stopped for Print Bill, Draft Order and Completed Orders on the staff form, in the Waiter App section • Allowed order types and “Only mine” still apply • The tablet’s own Print Bill and Draft settings stay the master switch

Result: Each waiter gets exactly the tools the restaurant allows.

Business Intelligence was open to every role that could reach the menu, and a Date Lock only limited the date pickers in the browser.

🔐 Now: Business Intelligence is for admins until a role is granted the tab or a single report • Grant reports one at a time in the role’s permissions • The server refuses dates earlier than a user’s Date Lock on the classic pages, and caps Business Intelligence windows the same way

Result: A manager sees only the reports and dates the restaurant has granted.

The tax on these two reports did not match the tax on the bill, and credit orders were counted when the credit was settled, not on the day of the bill.

🧾 Now: Tax is VAT plus GST • A credit order counts on the day of its bill

Result: The totals on these reports agree with the bills.

A draft order kept its table even when nobody was sitting at it yet, so the next guest could not be seated there.

🪑 Now: A draft frees the table • Moving a draft to processing takes the table, under a hard check • If another order holds the table, the draft is refused with a clear message

Result: A table is held by an order being served, never by a draft.

A due that was split into slices on the same day was being reversed by the register, so the books did not match what the customer still owed.

💵 Now: A same-day slice stays a due until it is paid • The end-of-day register sweep no longer takes instalment money off a second time • Orders that were only part-paid are counted in sales

Result: The dues on the books match what customers owe.

A long customer list is hard to work through on one screen, and an export had to be taken from the main view.

👥 Now: Sort the columns and search the list • An export takes the tab you are reading, not only the main view

Result: Find the customer you want, then export exactly what is on screen.

The owner app’s item and staff figures were missing some of the sales.
